About Durness Spar & Filling Station
Durness is the most northwesterly village on mainland Britain, a scattered community of crofts with a dramatic setting above a series of white sand beaches. The SPAR shop and filling station is the community hub, containing the post office and one of the very few shops in this remote region. Smoo Cave, a spectacular sea cave system, is a 15-minute walk away. Fill up here before heading east along the north coast toward Tongue and Thurso.
