About Stoer Lighthouse / Point of Stoer
A rough parking area near the Stoer Lighthouse at the remote Point of Stoer, providing access to the dramatic clifftop walk to the Old Man of Stoer sea stack. This is one of the most atmospheric wild parking spots on the NC500 β utterly remote, with views north to the Outer Hebrides on a clear day. The Stoer Lighthouse (built 1870) is now a holiday cottage. Access road is single-track for several miles β not suitable for large motorhomes.

Medium campervans and smaller motorhomes only. Walk 1.5 miles north along the clifftop to the Old Man of Stoer β a magnificent sea stack popular with rock climbers. One of the most dramatic coastal walks on the route.

This location is not suitable for large motorhomes. Access roads are narrow and pitches limited in size. Campervans and smaller motorhomes only. Check your vehicle dimensions before attempting access.
