About Oldshoremore Beach

Oldshoremore Beach is a strikingly beautiful remote beach near the fishing village of Kinlochbervie, accessible via a narrow single-track road through an extraordinary landscape of ancient Lewisian gneiss. A crescent of white shell sand with clear turquoise water, backed by low rocky headlands. A short walk over the headland reveals the equally beautiful beaches of Polin and Clash.

๐Ÿš Motorhome Tip Narrow access road โ€” not suitable for large motorhomes. Small and rough car park. Best visited in a smaller campervan. The walk between Oldshoremore, Polin and Clash beaches is one of the best short coastal walks on the route.

Getting There

From Kinlochbervie, take the road south signed Oldshoremore. Road is single-track and narrow for the last mile.

Best Time to Visit

May to September. The beach is rarely busy even in summer. Walk to Polin and Clash in dry, stable weather.
