About Helmsdale Filling Station
Helmsdale is a picturesque fishing village at the mouth of the Helmsdale River, steeped in history — it was a centre of the Highland Clearances and is known for its salmon fishing. The filling station serves travellers on the A9 coastal road. Note the Sunday closure: this catches many motorhome travellers off guard. The village has a great local pub (The Belgrave Arms) and the quirky Timespan Heritage Centre worth a visit.
