Gairloch Sands Holiday Park sits right on the edge of Big Sand beach, a spectacular 2km arc of golden sand with views across to the Torridon mountains and the Isle of Skye. It is one of the best-located campsites on the entire NC500 — wake up to sea views and the sound of waves. The site has comprehensive facilities including a small shop. Gairloch village, 3 miles away, has a fuel station, supermarket, heritage museum and boat trips for whale and dolphin watching.

Request a pitch as close to the beach as possible — they book up fast. Sunset over Big Sand with the Skye Cuillins on the horizon is unforgettable. Book whale-watching trips from Gairloch Harbour in advance for summer visits.

This site requires advance booking, especially in July and August. We strongly recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks ahead for summer visits.
