Applecross Campsite
About Applecross Campsite
The Applecross Campsite sits in the most remote and atmospheric corner of the Applecross Peninsula, within walking distance of the legendary Applecross Inn — one of Scotland's most celebrated pubs, famous for its seafood platters, local ales, and jaw-dropping views across the Inner Sound to the Isle of Skye and the Cuillins. The campsite is simple but well-run, with solid amenities and a stunning backdrop of mountains and sea. Getting here either via the Bealach na Bà mountain pass (not suitable for large motorhomes) or the longer coastal road via Lochcarron is an experience in itself.

🚐 Motorhome Tip
Book the Applecross Inn for dinner — it's legendary and fills up fast. If taking the Bealach na Bà, check your motorhome's height and length first — it's not suitable for vehicles over 5.5m length or 2.55m width. The coastal road via Shieldaig is the safer alternative for larger vehicles.
Booking
This site requires advance booking, especially in July and August. We strongly recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks ahead for summer visits.
