About Achmelvich Beach Car Park
The car park above Achmelvich beach offers free informal overnight stays within walking distance of one of Scotland's most celebrated beaches β white shell sand and crystal-clear turquoise water that could pass for the Caribbean on a sunny day. The bay is sheltered by low headlands and the water, while cold, is remarkably clear. A separate, small paid campsite operates adjacent (Achmelvich Beach SYHA/Campsite). The car park is spacious enough for most motorhomes and the setting is exceptional.

π Motorhome Tip
The beach is stunning at any time but particularly magical at low tide when the sand stretches wide. Bring your swimwear β the brave take a dip. The nearby Achmelvich Beach Youth Hostel is a historic whitewashed cottage.
